The
London Borough of Redbridge is situated to the North East of
London bordering Essex and containing a variety of environments
from built up urban centres to rural villages.
Over the last few years a number of luxury flats have been built
in Ilford Town Centre, where the council is based. These are
'low car' developments, as in they do not provide any/many parking
spaces.
Now there is a proposal to build a development of 153 housing units with 33 parking spaces and perhaps an on-site car club. We will bring more details of this as we get them.
There may also be a tram link, extension of the DLR and re-development
of the train station to become a major transport interchange.
