The
London Borough of Waltham Forest is situated to the north-east
of London and includes a wide variety of housing developments
ranging from urban to rural settings.
The Borough has plans for a number of carfree developments
and also schemes for car sharing etc. The proposed carfree
developments are mainly focused on Walthamstow Town Centre
with the intention of alleviating the problem of on-street parking.
Other schemes are being considered for Leyton, Leytonstone and
North Chingford.
Below is a list of proposals with carfree development agreements from 2003- 2005, some of these have been constructed and we hope to bring more details soon.
